What will happen during the visit from the sales advisor?
One of our sales advisors will visit your home to discuss your requirements, we have 3 sales advisors: Oliver has been at Castle since 2000, James since 2004 and Barry since 1994. We will bring a sample of our products to show you and explain the benefits. We can tailor the sales presentation to you making it as informative or as brief as you wish and then we'll leave you with the options to make your choice.

What happens after we have accepted the quote for our products?
Once you have signed your order our surveyor, will confirm the designs and options you've ordered. He'll check all the measurements to make sure that the products you've ordered will be a perfect fit. If planning permission is required we can take care of this process for you.

Once the survey is completed your order will be sent to our manufacturers where all products follow strict processes and quality checks to ensure the highest quality is maintained.

Once a convenient installation date has been agreed with you our trained fitters will carry out a first class job with as little distruption to you as possible. Our friendly office team are on hand to answer any questions you may have and once the installation is complete you have a 10 year guarantee so if you were to experience any problems with our products we have experienced service engineers who will be only too happy to rectify any problems.

When will I need to pay for my products?
A 25% deposit is required at the time of ordering and then the balance is due on completion.

How do you ensure the workmanship of your fitters?
Nothing beats experience when fitting windows, all of our fitters are vetted and most of them have 10 years + experience.

How long will my windows last?
PVC windows have improved considerably over the last 30 years, our windows are tested to 100,000 openings, more than a lifetime. We would expect them to continue to be beneficial beyond 25 years.

Can you match my existing windows?
Everything we fit is made to measure so it is easy to duplicate existing window designs and finishes.

Do we supply wooden or aluminium windows?
Yes, and in a wide range of finishes.

Do we supply bay windows?
Yes, bay windows need to be fitted by experienced fitters as some are structural to the property itself.

Do we offer secondary glazing?
Yes, secondary glazing offers a great alternative to replacement windows on period properties and has fantastic acoustic benefits too.

How long will it take to get my new windows installed?
Approximately 4 to 6 weeks from order. However, we can if needed speed this process up.

What is the Energy Rating of your windows?
All of our windows are A Rated, we use the most energy efficient window system on the market today.

What will happen to my old windows?
We will take them away.

How long will it take to fit our windows?
On average our fitters fit four windows in one day. They will also fit one at a time so that you are not left without a window in place.

Are all PVCu windows the same?
Certainly not, there are many manufacturers using different plastics and mouldings that alter design and colour. There are many ways to reinforce windows as well as hinges, handles, lock and seals. The glass will also change the overall appearance, something which changes massively from company to company.

Will our new windows reduce the noise level?
It will depend upon what your current windows are, the thickness and cavity size of the glass will influence the acoustic levels. All our windows are supplied with Q-lon gasket (see product section) which has excellent properties and high performance. All our A rated windows have a decibel reduction level of 29, this can be improved for properties next to motorways and wherever else required.

Do we offer self cleaning glass?
Yes, Pilkington Active, often used on conservatories and commercial properties.

Do I have to comply with Building Regulations?
Yes, we are governed by FENSA, a body that regulates what and how we install. They continually monitor and inspect our installations. You should not let anyone who is not registered with FENSA install your windows and doors.

Are we FENSA certified?
Yes, our membership number is 19281.

When will I receive my FENSA certificate?
Approximately 4 to 6 weeks after full payment is received.

Are all windows and doors covered by FENSA?
All windows and doors with 50% glass or more, Bay windows count as one product.

When would any windows and doors not be covered by FENSA?
If the property is a new build or extension then the building inspector will cover the windows under building regulations inspection. Doors with less than 50% glass will not be covered by FENSA.
